I've worked in various roles at estate planning firms for nearly ten years. I'm currently a paralegal with a focus on drafting estate planning, real estate, and business succession documents.

Estate planning is important for practical reasons: for example, naming a guardian for minor children and protecting/optimizing one's assets, but I most appreciate the pause the planning creates in a client's life. It is a perfect time for reflection, for considering where one is in life and where one wants to go. It's also a time to think about one's life from beginning to end, as difficult as that may be. I consider it a privilege to assist clients in this important and potentially emotional work, and my hope is that some deep, possibly uncomfortable, thinking happens during the nuts-and-bolts planning process.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, college-bound son, and two dogs, attending yoga and strength classes, and reading. I work a few hours at a local independent bookstore and urge everyone to support these gems wherever they may be. I'm also the membership coordinator for the Friends group of my town's library.
